His needs have changed.

If you’ve got a big dog getting older… it might be worth paying a bit more attention to what they actually need. Digby is one of my five dogs. A big dog… getting older. And the older he gets, the more I’ve realised his needs are completely his own. Joint support. Dental care. And because of his size, the doses that work for a smaller dog just don’t work for him. With big dogs, the amount actually matters. You can’t sprinkle a tiny scoop on their food and expect it to do much. For it to make a real difference, it needs to match the dog in front of you. Over the years, Digby has also developed some fatty lumps, so milk thistle has become something I always keep ready… not every day, but there when he needs it, to give his liver a bit of support. I don’t use supplements for the sake of it. I use them where they’re actually needed, at the level they’re actually needed. With a dog like Digby, that matters more than most people realise.
