A woman on one of my calls told me her kids just all left the house. She isn't doing this for the money. She wants something of her own that feels like it has a purpose. When I launched, I figured my buyers would be young moms. It was mostly people whose kids had just moved out, or who were getting close to retiring. Here's how mine started. On a drive from New York to Florida I heard a podcast about a woman in Dallas doing $2 million a year decorating porches, and selling a $5,000 course on how. I've never decorated a porch. I scrubbed YouTube for every inch of it, put the transcripts into Claude, and it pulled out the design principles. The guides sold for $29. It went gangbusters for the first couple months, and then it dropped off pretty hard. January was $90,018. I spent $49,600 on Meta ads to get it, starting at $50 a day and only scaling once it was profitable. May was $8,327. Down 91%. Both halves of that chart are on the page, because the down months are the part nobody shows you. That mistake, a front end with nothing behind it, is module 10. I didn't quit the job. I built this on the side and the ads ran while I was in meetings. If the last course you bought turned out to be someone else's upsells with a new logo, I know. That's why the whole thing is $27 and every number above is a Stripe link on the page you can open yourself.
