I’ll add an extra 60,000 monthly organic traffic to Oru Kayak’s Shopify store, and here are 14 SEO quick-wins that we’ll implement to do so… There are a ton of growth opportunities available, but the biggest one has to be resolving the keyword cannibalization. As you’ll see from the video breakdown, almost 10 different pages are competing/trying to rank for the keyword “kayaks”. They’re all optimized for the same keyword, and as a result, the positions have been dropping month over month for the past year. Resolving this by optimizing the main page (collection page), and de-optimizing all the other pages, would allow us to significantly improve the current ranking position for the word “kayaks”. Up next, would be implementing a content strategy. There are thousands of questions, topics and subtopics to cover within the “kayaking” niche, and since the domain contains the word “kayak”, it’d be extremely easy to rank for those terms. Not only would we be able to generate a ton of brand awareness through this, but in addition, we’d also be able to convert a lot of that traffic into leads and revenue. Another massive opportunity that’s not being utilized at the moment is On-Page SEO. None of the pages have the H1 tags, or meta titles optimized for their target keywords, making it much more difficult to rank properly. Some of the additional quick-wins include: - Leveraging the partial match domain name with the word "Kayak" in it, - Resolving duplicated indexed pages, caused by Yotpo - Clean-up and no-indexing of test landing pages, currently clogging up Google's index - Implementation of product schema to boost organic CTR - Addition of missing H1 tags across the entire Shopify store, - Addition of the missing INDEX, FOLLOW tag - Clean-up of general site's elements set as heading tags, - Addition of entity optimized collection texts, - Leveraging the existing strong link profile, currently not being utilized properly. - Implementation of a checkout page upsell, - Addition of USPs & review to the checkout page for higher conversion rates. I estimate that we implement all of the suggestions above, we can easily scale the Shopify store’s organic traffic from 35,200 to 95,200 per month, just like we’ve done with countless other clients.
