It's Not Your Hands. It's the Handle.

Turns out the problem was never my hands. It was the dumbbells. Standard handles are made for a man's grip. My hand didn't reach as far around, my fingers gripped harder to compensate, and the bar dug into the same spot on my palm, set after set. Gryp covers your palm so the weight presses into the padding, not into your hand. Same reason your feet don't hurt in cushioned shoes. The cramping stopped, and I finally lift the weight my muscles were ready for.
