Meet Maria (@mariamattssons) who lives and works right at the top of the mountains in Sälen, where she spends much of her time running through mountain terrain and exploring new places with her dog, Pålsson. For this hike, Maria took us to Gesundaberget in Dalarna which is a loop that holds a special place in her heart. “I’ve been hiking here since I was a little kid, and it’s just as beautiful every single time.” The route has a few steep and rocky sections, but the reward is unforgettable: a milestone view over Lake Siljan. Maria’s best tip? Go early in the morning or late in the evening to catch the magical golden light over the lake. And don’t forget to pack a proper fika! Coffee and snacks are the perfect excuse to stay at the top and enjoy the view a little longer. #Fjallraven
