Bob is a retired Air Force pilot and lives in a memory care facility, where Alzheimer’s has been slowly stealing pieces of his life for years. Through all of it, Bob has always found comfort in one constant: his dog, CJ. Every resident and staff member loved the dog. When CJ passed away suddenly, Bob was devastated. He’d ask for CJ daily. The nights became restless. His entire demeanor changed. A family friend thought of a Petsies for Bob. The moment Bob saw his Petsies for the first time, he immediately said “There’s my boy”, gently patting the stuffed animal like he’d just been reunited with his best friend. His family told us he carries the plush everywhere now and sleeps with him every night.
