Welcome to part 1 of our back deck refresh! 🙌🏼 This deck isn’t in the best condition, and has been purple since we bought the house last summer. BUT…. New decks are expensive, so I’m working with what I have, to give it a quick refresh, and hope it lasts another 5 years. (and I mean QUICK… because we’re hosting my daughters 1st birthday in just 5 days 😅) Over the winter we replaced the sliding door & removed all the existing shrubs. And today, we pressure washed, added a few new boards, and got it prepped for paint tomorrow. The goal is to update it with a fresh coat of paint, new pergola for shade, and landscaping / decor🪻Light, airy, and cottage-feeling.
