HOLD ME CLOSER A short film by Demitri Zujew Presented by NISHANE Shot on location in Japan, between Nara and the foothills of Mount Fuji, Hold Me Closer moves NISHANE’s olfactive storytelling into cinema, accompanying the eponymous creation by perfumer Alexandre Helwani that completes the Second Verse of the Rumi Collection. Moss on the trunks of an ancient forest, a river nearby, the scent of rain that has not yet fallen. A paper fortune folded away from his eyes, and a deer that looks back. In a quiet house, a shared life passes inside one still frame while the light slowly darkens. Only her perfume brings her back to him, each note opening a door onto a room she has already left. The film asks one question. Can you hold on to a feeling?
